Swati Bakre, LCPC

Swati Bakre holds a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University at the Family Institute and a Masters Degree in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai, India. She completed a Post Graduate Fellowship in relational treatment of trauma from Womencare Counseling Center in Evanston, IL.  It was here that she gained experience in companioning women survivors of sexual abuse on their path toward healing.

Swati draws from over 20 years of diverse experience, beginning with her work in India where she advocated for communities impacted by trauma and violence. She is dedicated to helping individuals, families, and adolescents navigate difficult life situations to heal from harmful abusive experiences.

Bringing with her over ten years of clinical experience in the treatment of trauma, Swati is constantly moved by her clients' courage to engage in the therapeutic process. She is humbled by the opportunity to walk alongside her clients on their path toward meaningful change and transformation, and is deeply committed to creating a safe, collaborative, and compassionate space.

The need for care and connection is greater than ever during these unprecedented times brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.  While we cannot meet people in person, we are currently offering secure video or phone sessions that many insurance companies have agreed to cover due to the unique circumstances.
