Patricia Nolan, LCSW

Tricia Nolan holds a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Loyola, Chicago, with a dual specialization in Children and Family and Leadership and Development.  She completed her clinical training at Niles Family Services and Arden Shores Child and Family Services providing clinical services to adults, couples, children and families. She also facilitated (MBSR) Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction group for staff at Arden Shore and youth living at the residential facility. Tricia spent one year of post-graduate work in the Center for Contextual Change externship program receiving in depth training on complex and relational trauma therapy, based on the Contextual Change Model. As part of the program, Tricia co-facilitated several groups including DBT groups for adults and young adults, along with a trauma informed group for adults.

Tricia uses a holistic approach to healing and has extensive training in many different modalities including Reiki, IET (Integrative Energy Therapy), Yoga/Meditation, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and mindfulness training.  In using the Contextual Change Model, she incorporates these various modalities depending on the needs of the client. She approaches the therapeutic relationship in a collaborative way, focusing on the client’s strengths, helping the client to deepen agency and self-awareness, emphasizing compassion and empathy throughout treatment. Tricia is currently teaching yoga/meditation at Urban Yoga Chicago, located in Evanston, Illinois. As a wife and mother of two young adult sons, she brings a wealth of life experience to her practice.
