Taliesha Hill, LPC

Taliesha Hill holds a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University.  She completed her clinical training in several mental health settings, including a community mental health agency, a private clinic, a hospital inpatient program and an advocacy group for refugees and victims of sex trafficking.  Taliesha also spent one year of post-graduate work in the Center for Contextual Change’s Externship program receiving training in the Contextual Change Model and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
At the Center, Taliesha provides clinical services to adults, young adults, adolescents, couples and families. While her clinical focus is on the treatment of complex and relational trauma, she has experience working with anxiety, depression, self-injury, chronic suicidality, eating disorders, addictions, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.  In addition to individual psychotherapy, Taliesha leads DBT groups and provides DBT skills training and coaching.
Taliesha believes that transformation and growth happen within the context of a collaborative relationship, where internal and external resources are identified and developed.  She understands that while relationships can be wounding, they can also be healing.  These beliefs, along with compassion and empathy, are the foundation of her work with clients.
"Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom."
